Your clip earns from seven places.
Not one.
You filmed it once. We keep it earning — on the marketplace, on channels, and from people already using it without asking.
Seven ways one clip earns
Post it yourself and it earns one way: ads on your own channel. Sign with us and the same clip works seven ways — and keeps working after you have moved on. Every source below carries an honest label: two are earning now, one is ready to start, one is not paying out yet, and three are still to open. We would rather you saw that than a page of green ticks.
Direct sales
50%
through an agency: 40%
Irregular, but each sale is worth real money.
Monthly platform income
45%
The platform matches your clip automatically wherever it appears, and pays. Nobody has to chase anyone.
A channel pays a monthly fee to use your clip
40%
We spot a channel already using clips from our library, then put them on a monthly fee instead of a takedown. This is the one you could not do on your own.
Used on the ClipVault channels
35%
Small each time, but it adds up across many productions and many months.
Money we recover
40%
after legal costs
Somebody used your clip without asking. We go after it; you get a share of what comes back.
AI training data
40%
you can refuse this one
A real market: AI companies pay for footage whose rights are clean and traceable. Ours are.
Paid upfront, one lump sum
agreed per clip
You take the money now and we carry the risk. After that there is no further share.
What we do NOT share
Sponsorship on our own channels is not shared. That money is paid for the audience we built, not for your clip. We would rather say so here than have you find out later.
On your own vs with us
| On your own | With us | |
|---|---|---|
| Ways it earns | 1 — ads on your channel | 7 |
| Your clip six months later | sitting still | still earning from sources 1 and 2 |
| Someone steals it | your problem | we chase it, you get 40% |
| Selling to TV or an advert | no way in | we already sell there |
Three steps
Send us a link
No file, no forms. Paste the link to your clip and we look at it.
We answer
If we can sell it, we say yes and tell you why. If not, we say that too.
Sign online
Only after we say yes do you fill in the full details. Then the clip starts working.
You can always see your own money
Nothing is hidden behind a monthly e-mail. Open your dashboard any time and see, line by line:
- which clip earned it
- which of the seven sources it came from
- the gross figure, and what was deducted
- your share of it, and when it becomes payable
When you get paid
Books close on the last day of the month, counting only money that had actually reached us. We pay on the 25th of the following month, once you have reached $75. Below that it rolls over.
Transfer fees come out of the payment, and you choose the method.
Three things we would rather tell you now
Every agency page you have read promises the moon. Here is the part they leave out — because if we hide it, you will work it out in month one anyway, and then you will not trust anything else on this page.
⚠ Source 2 pays in small change
A fifteen-second shot inside a production that earns $300 is worth roughly a dollar to you. Real money from this source comes from many productions across many months, not from one hit.
⚠ Source 1 is not running yet
It is the biggest of the seven, and we do not have it. It needs content owner status on the platforms, which we are working towards. We are not giving you a date, because we do not have one.
⚠ Source 5 is rare
Recovering money from people who used your clip without asking does happen, but treat anything from it as a bonus, never as income you are counting on.
+ New ways of earning are added to your deal automatically
Sign today and you are covered by ways of earning that do not exist yet. When we open one, your clip is in it — no new paperwork, no signing again. Three things bind us, not you:
- We tell you first — what it is, the exact percentage, and the start date. Nothing is switched on quietly.
- Your share of a new source is never below the lowest rate on our card. We can go higher; we cannot go lower.
- You can refuse any single new source within 30 days, and refusing one changes nothing about the others. Anything sensitive — AI training is the example we already have — stays off until you say yes.
Questions creators actually ask
Do I lose ownership of my clip?
No. You stay the owner. What you give us is a licence to exploit it — the right to sell, publish and monetise it on your behalf.
Can I still keep the clip on my own accounts?
Yes. You keep your own copy and may keep showing it on the personal accounts where you already posted it, as long as you list those accounts when you submit. What you may not do during the term is license, sell or monetise that same clip through anyone else.
Does this tie up everything I film from now on?
No. The exclusivity attaches to the clip you submit — the one the agreement names as the Work. You stay free to film what you like and to license any other footage to anyone, including our competitors. It is not a contract over you as a person.
Will my clip be fed to an AI?
Only if you switch that on yourself. It is off by default, ticking the acceptance box does not turn it on, and you can withdraw it later for future licences. Refusing has no effect on anything else — not on your rates, not on how we price or promote the clip.
When do I get paid?
Books close on the last day of each month and we pay on the 25th of the following month, once your balance reaches $75.
What about tax?
Tax on what you receive is yours to pay. Where the law requires us to withhold something before paying you, we do, and that withheld amount counts as paid to you. We will ask you for a tax form and a certificate of tax residency — without them we have to withhold at the highest rate.
The agreement itself is the thing that counts, and you can read all of it before you sign: Submission agreement.
